OUR DYING WISHES
Three journalism students have spent the last eight months uncovering how the perceptions that surround death and dying in Canada are evolving. Despite being a natural process, death is often viewed as a taboo topic. Our research has uncovered that that death needs to be a part our daily conversations. Your life might depend on it.

Mia really likes the way that Taylor thinks, usually, but when Taylor presented her with the idea of studying dying and death in Canada for a year, she was a little put off. How morbid can you get, right? But then she had lunch with a cousin who's husband had recently died, and they got to talking about the impact of death on the living, and Mia realized that this would probably be the most important research project (and journey) of her young life. She wasn't wrong. Mia is a fourth year journalism student, Editor-in-Chief of her school yearbook, vegetable enthusiast, and a million other things, she just can't list them all here.
